The firearms unit is primarily responsible for training in the area of Use of Force and defensive tactics. Training and qualifications are handled in the areas of firearms, expandable baton and chemical agents. The unit is also responsible for the investigation and processing of civilian firearms permits and serves as the quartermaster for the agency.
