The Patrol Division is the largest segment of the police department. It consists of all of the uniformed officers you see working on the street in marked and semi marked patrol units. Included in the patrol function are a number of specialized units including: K-9 and patrol bicycle.

It is the mission of the Division:
  • To protect life and property, reduce crime; improve the quality of life while dealing with the citizens of our Township with courtesy, professionalism and respect.

  • To establish community ties through a collaborative effort between the police and the community that identifies problems of crime and disorder and involves all elements of the community in the search for solutions to these problems.

  • Provide sufficient uniformed patrol officers to respond to emergencies, minimize harm, and maximize public safety.

  • Deploy resources to effectively combat crime and respond to community needs for police services.

  • Observe and evaluate performance, equipment and training of field personnel.
