Why
do I need HomeSafe?
Perhaps
Dean Martin sang it best, "Everybody needs
somebody somehow." The Medford Township Police Division couldn't
agree more. That's why we have implemented "Operation
HomeSafe" Program. This program is designed to provide
SENIOR CITIZENS and/or DISABLED PESONS who live alone, the opportunity
to speak to a representative of the Police Department on a daily
basis, just to make sur eyou haven't had any problems during the
night.
This
FREE program is available to any SENIOR
or DISABLED person residing in Medford Township. You need only live
alone and have a telephone. All YOU have to do is call 609-654-7511,
between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., every day, Monday through Sunday.
It is that simple. But if we don't hear from you, WE'LL WANT TO
FIND OUT WHY, so we're going to call you. And if you don't answer
your phone, we will call a neighbor or a family member, until we
find out that you are Okay. In case we can't reach your neighbor
or family member, or if they are unaware of your whereabouts, we
will sned a police car to your house to make sure everything is
okay.
But
this doesn't mean that you will have to stay home every day. If
you are taking a trip to Atlantic City or visiting someone, just
let us know ahead of time and we will mark you off the list for
that day or week.
If
you want to participate in the "OPERATION HOMESAFE"
Program, please download (required Adobe
Acrobat reader) the
form and complete the questionnaire and return it to the Medford
Township Police Department, or give us a call at 609-654-7511 and
we will arrange to pickk up the form for you.
We
are here to Serve YOU!
